Front End Designer/Developer
Avantia is seeking a Front End Designer/Developer to join our growing team.
S/He will work closely and collaborate with software developers and stakeholders to design innovative UI. Responsibilities include translating final visual designs and wireframes into clean, efficient code following modern best practices for desktop, mobile, and web applications. Applicants must have a keen eye for design, attention to detail, and a skilled hand in User Experience.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Strong portfolio of UI /UX projects
- Experience with responsive design to build web experiences that are optimized for all devices
- Extensive experience surrounding HTML5 CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Candidate should be a self-motivated, detail oriented, and a responsible team-player
- Familiarity with Adobe’s Creative Cloud

Senior Java Developer
Avantia is seeking Senior Level JAVA/J2EE Developers.
Successful candidates must have experience working with business and operations groups to create quality solutions. Applicants will have experience developing Java applications from scratch and have experience integrating Java systems with other Java and non-Java technologies. You will be involved in every aspect of the software development lifecycle (must be experienced in new systems programming, design etc.) You will be interacting with senior management to add input and contribute new and innovative ideas to help the company continue to grow
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 5 Years of IT Experience
- Java/JEE programming experience
- OOD/OOP
- Familiar with all phases of Software Development Lifecycle
- Eclipse/NetBeans
- Strong background in JSPs, JSTL, Hibernate, Spring, Web Services, and Tomcat is ideal
- MVC
- Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and/or jQuery is a plus
- Proficient with relational databases
